1890
Originally, First National Bank was in our location and has always been on the intersection of S. Elm and Washington.
1917
In the early 1900s the building got a bit of a revamp. They added pillars and a new bank took over called The Greensboro Memorial Bank.
Mid 1920s
The businesses to the left of us continued to change over the years. In the mid 1910s we had Coco-Cola just a few doors down but now we have Kinney Shoes and Turner Cornatzer Tailoring. Our building has remained the same but you can see around us that more power lines have been installed.
1950
Kay Jewelers moves in and dominates the corner with Singer moved in around the corner along with many other retailers.
1976
In order to progress with the growth of Downtown Greensboro, they torn down the building on the corner to widen Washington Street. The building side has been bare ever since but did create a home to lots of natureal growing ivy.
1981
Family owned ever since 1979, the business began with Judi and Dave as a consignment and clock shop. The two made the switch to prints and framing shortly before this photo was taken.
